Udaipur is a town,under Gomoti district in Indian state of Tripura, it is also the headquaters of Gomoti district. Udaipur , formaly knowes as Rangamati. Udaipur was a former capital of the state during the reign of the Maharajas.Now udaipur is the third biggest city in the state.Geographically Udaipur located at 23.53 degree N 91.48 degree E[2].It has an average elevation of 22 meters [72feet]. Weather 26 degree C, Wind S at 3 km/h, 86% Humidity. The Gomati rever passes through the heart of the Udaipur and helps in irrigation of its land. Udaipur is known as so many names like lake city, mandir nagari. The city is famous for Tripura Sundari Temple, one of the 51 Hindu shaktipeethas of the country. Tripura Sundari Temple is a Hindu Temple os goddes Tripura Sundari or Matabari, better know locally as Devi Tripureswari. The Temple is situated in the ancient city of Tripura, near about 55 km from the city of capital.For the first time over 500 years, Tripura Sundari Temple went without animal sacrifice in durga puja after the state's high court banned the practice this year 2019.
Earlier the District administration under direction from the state goverment used tp offer one goat daily during Durga Puja for sacrifice in the temple. Similarly a large number of other animals were also secrificeed during Diwali celebrations. The people of that area are healpful and comunicating. So that the new visiter has no trouble to visit this place.
Udaipur have lakes like Amarsagar,Mahadev deghi,Jganath deghi and many more. It makes Udaipur more beautyful naturally, so that the visiter's always enjoing themself.
